I am thankful to be alive

I am thankful to have a roof overhead and food in my cupboards

I am thankful my cat is recovering well

I am thankful I only have 5 more months on my car loan

I am thankful for the windows that open when doors suddenly close

I am thankful for the path that I am on, though at times it becomes unbearable... because the Life's lessons bring me closer to Fulfillment

I am thankful for the remmants of sanity that refuse to be lost

I am thankful for my family, as loving and welcoming as ever, even in spite of my comings and goings

And I am thankful for my friends, friends long gone, friends newly gone, friends who have returned, and the friends who have been beside me the whole time. I am thankful for the friends who take the time to see the real me, who do not judge me, who give me that swift kick in the ass when I need it; but are also right there with the ice pack once all is said and done.
