Oh yeah, I went on a Date last night

Previous Entry <========> Next Entry

So last night Howard took me to see October Project

He showed up early. He liked the apt. He has the flu, said it was just his luck... 1st concert since 7 year hiatus, 1st date (implying first of many?) But he was drugged and geared up and ready to go.

The Demon cat didn't kill him... this time.

He drives a gold Geo Prizm. His is a Standard. His heat/fan dial broke off. There was chainmail in the backseat.

Went to his friends' house in E. Rochester. 2 more friends were coming in from Buffalo. They're all gamers. They geeked gamer stuff. They had assorted blades and weaponry. I was pleasantly distracted.

We all have tattoos.

They know another of my friends from the SCA.. who's in that Household. He's engaged. There are twins involved. oiy.

The Buffalo crew show up. They feel out of place because we're all wearing long black coats and they aren't. We all laugh.

We go to the concert.

Water Street Music Hall has 500 folding chairs set up in auditorium format. Weird.

Concert itself was very good. Two instances of annoying people laughing and talking out loud like the music hall was their own personal living room.

Howard went over both times to say something.

It was very cold. They had fans and blowers going. I was cold. Howard put his arm around me. We held hands. I put my head on his shoulder. He smelled very very good. It was very nice. Very, very nice.

Concert over. Food time.

Went to Marks (those of you who've been to Fruvous concerts in Rochester and went out with Tobey and me afterwards, you remember Marks. Place with Great milkshakes? Except the girl with the really long braid doesn't work there anymore *pouts*)

No parking near Marks, we park in my driveway and walk the 1.5 blocks, Keith and Jen park in the laundromat lot. I commented that they like to tow from that lot, but got distracted by a very cute puppy and forgot to mention it.

Ate food. Heard interesting stories. I feel slightly vanilla compared to his friends, I'll have to see if he says anything next time we talk. His flu symptoms are coming back and the Buffalo friend has to work on Sunday. Yay Daylight Savings!

We leave. Buffalo friends decide they're going to ride back with K&J since Howard doesn't have to go back to their house. My thought... good friends, let him have some time alone with his date :)

Car's gone. Its been towed. Rampant Pissage ensues. Tow company called. $110 and the need to go downtown. So now they all have to pile into Howard's car. bummer. stupid New Moon.

We trek to my apt. Howard asks to use the bathroom. I let him in, take off coat. He goes to pet Demon Cat, she attacks, he lets her. He's not worried. Ok, you're funeral.

He's in bathroom, I feel bad about friends out in the cold and ask them if they want to come in for a minute. They decline. Just as I've said it I realize this may be my only moment with him alone... good friends.

Tender moment. Thank you's and "had a good time"s, hopes to do it again, yes please call again. Light kiss, big warm hug.

He says, "hmmm, you smell nice." I say, "I was thinking the same thing earlier." him, "That you smell nice?" me, "no silly, that you smelled nice" and nuzzlage against his neck. "Drakkar" says he. No wonder. Immediate time warp to High School and back again. He kisses. Then I kiss, then he says, "one more" and kisses again. He's out the door.

I forget to say goodbye to his friends.

End of date.

I miss his embrace already.

*sigh*
